Pre-anaesthetic Assessment Clinic
Patients undergoing major or complex surgery or those with multiple medical issues are routinely assessed by their anaesthetist at our Wakefield St consulting suites prior to the day of surgery. The anaesthetist will undertake a detailed health assessment and arrange further tests or treatments as required. Preoperative assessments are considered best practice in such circumstances and allow the anaesthetist to provide detailed information regarding the anaesthetic plan, and answer patient questions well in advance of the surgery.
In some instances, Pulse Anaesthetics can also arrange for Telehealth consultations with anaesthetists if attendance in person is not possible.
Our staff will contact patients on behalf of an anaesthetist to make an appointment. If you do not have an appointment but wish to speak with an anaesthetist, please call (08) 72319500 and our staff will assist you.
